Remembering a powerful conversation with the inspirational @jasvinder.sanghera7 that's remained with me from earlier this week.
There's a need to reframe conversations about what it means to be a "survivor."
SURVIVORS are EMPOWERED, people.
Often, the perception is that survivors don't want to share their stories. Or, they are hiding in the shadows, not wanting to reveal their identity. Truth be told, many survivors ARE comfortable revealing themselves.
If you don't believe me, all you have to do is look as far as this community and the survivors who've shared their stories.
What is your meaning of survivor?
